Knowledge and understanding
By the end of the course, students will be able to:
Describe the sources, principles and evolution of EU administrative law within the EU legal order.
Explain the organisation, powers and functioning of EU administrations, including EU institutions, bodies, offices and agencies.
Identify and discuss the main principles governing EU administrative action (such as legality, proportionality, transparency, participation, fundamental rights protection and good administration).
Illustrate the main types of EU administrative procedures and acts, and their interaction with national administrative authorities in the multilevel EU system.
Applying knowledge
Apply EU administrative law rules and principles to concrete and hypothetical cases involving EU institutions and national administrations implementing EU law.
Analyse the legality of EU administrative measures, identifying potential grounds for judicial review and available remedies before the Court of Justice of the EU and national courts.
Making judgements
Critically assess the effectiveness, accountability and legitimacy of administrative structures and procedures in the EU multilevel system.
Evaluate the impact of EU administrative law on national administrative systems and on the protection of individuals and undertakings.
Communication and skills
Use appropriate legal terminology to present well‑structured oral and written arguments on issues of EU administrative law, supported by relevant legislation and case law.
Conduct basic independent research in EU administrative law using legislation, case law and academic commentary, and integrate different sources in problem‑oriented analysis.

Oral exam; is possible for attending studends to discuss a final thesis work.
